Upgrading the Wacom Bamboo

Sometime the best strategy is to wait

This is a follow-up article on wacom-and-linuxmint posted back in March 2013.
Previously the CTE-450 driver 5.0.8 process used less than 3MB :

Now the CTL-470K driver work with the previous model, but is a bit bigger (around 15MB) :

Conclusion, the new Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet CTL-470K  is now working on both LinuxMint14 and OS X 10.5.8

This is the link for the mac OS X driver page
http://www.wacom.eu/index4.asp?pid=29&lang=en

The previous wacom Bamboo CTE-450 worked "out of the box" with LinuxMint Helena 8 (which was a pretty nice user-experience) - For the newer tablet the same friendly user experience requires LinuxMint14 or higher.

$ modprobe -l | grep wacom
kernel/drivers/input/tablet/wacom.ko
kernel/drivers/input/touchscreen/wacom_w8001.ko
kernel/drivers/input/touchscreen/wacom_i2c.ko
kernel/drivers/hid/hid-wacom.ko

As bonus an interesting Unboxing youtube video http://youtu.be/7WtLN-AGypw

This new Wacom Bamboo CTL-470K has no feature, button, software (except a downloadable coupon for Artrage that I already had from the previous bundle).
